The performance need

What the work had to accomplish.

A six-part curriculum covering the essential components of a heavy-duty conveyor system, built for Flexco employees, distributors, customers and mining schools. It began as a knowledge transfer from a field expert approaching retirement and grew into a market-facing product, deliberately designed to teach the technology rather than sell the products.

Designed for

Flexco employees, distributors, customers, and mining-school learners who need a shared model of a heavy-duty conveyor system.

Documented outcome

Rated 4.92/5 by customers and 4.93/5 by employees for quality and effectiveness, with net promoter scores of 92% and 94%. Translated into five languages and now licensed commercially by Flexco, with 81 licenses sold as of 2024.

02 / The design response

The craft followed the performance job.

  1. 01

Capture critical expert knowledge before it leaves the organization.

  2. 02

Build one visual system spanning a 3D system model, six interactive modules, assessment, live delivery, and train-the-trainer support.

  3. 03

Teach how the technology works before asking the experience to support a product decision.

03 / Explore the released work

Evidence should remain legible.

Open any frame at its released size to examine the interaction, information hierarchy, and visual system without asking a thumbnail to carry the proof.

Evidence boundary

Confidence includes knowing what the record supports.

Ratings, NPS, language versions, licenses, and award recognition are limited to the released joint record. They should not be generalized to another engagement.
